SS 304 – Sabot

• Grade 304 is the standard "18/8" stainless steel clips & solids; it is the most versatile and most widely used stainless steel, available in a wider range of products, forms and finishes than any other. This scrap category shall contain a minimum of 7% Nickel, 16% Chrome and have a maximum of 0.50% Molybdenum, 0.50% Copper, 0.045% Phosphorous & 0.03% Sulphur and free from harmful contaminants.

SS 316

• Grade 316 is the standard molybdenum-bearing grade. This contains higher percentage of Molybdenum and Nickel than SS 304. The molybdenum gives 316 better overall corrosion resistant properties than Grade 304, particularly higher resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride environments
